These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to merchants ("you", "your") who install and use the Hive Reviews Shopify application (the "Service"). These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Bingsviken Consulting AB.
By installing the app from the Shopify App Store or otherwise accessing the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or the business you represent. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.
Hive Reviews provides tools for Shopify merchants to collect, syndicate, moderate, and display product reviews across one or more Shopify stores. The core features include:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
Access to the Service is tied to your Shopify store. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account and any credentials associated with the Service. You may not share access or use the Service on behalf of a third party without our written consent.
You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to enter into contracts on behalf of your business.
The Service is offered under the following plans:
All paid plans are billed through Shopify's billing system. By upgrading to a paid plan, you authorise Shopify to charge your account in accordance with Shopify's billing terms. We do not directly process or store your payment information.
Plan fees are charged monthly in advance. Downgrades or cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by applicable law.
We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
You retain ownership of all review content submitted through your store. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content for the purpose of operating the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that any review content displayed on your storefront complies with applicable consumer protection laws, advertising standards, and Shopify's policies.
We do not pre-screen review content, but we reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service you acknowledge and agree to the practices described therein.
To the extent required under the GDPR, we act as a data processor on your behalf for personal data relating to your customers. You are the data controller for such data and are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to share it with us.
All intellectual property in the Service — including the software, design, trademarks, and documentation — is owned by or licensed to Bingsviken Consulting AB. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Service.
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bingsviken Consulting AB shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bingsviken Consulting AB, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, and costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
The Service integrates with Shopify and other third-party platforms. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.
You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We will handle any retained data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the app. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sweden.
If you are a consumer located in the EU, you also have the right to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Note however that this Service is directed at businesses (merchants), not consumers.
